A frantic search has been launched to trace a 12-year-old Scots schoolboy who vanished on Friday.
Alex Houston was reported missing from the Irvine area of Ayrshire on Friday, January 19. Anyone with information on the boy's whereabouts is urged to contact Police Scotland.
Officers from the Police Scotland describe Alex as 5ft 6in tall, and say when he was last seen he was wearing a black North Face jacket, white LaCoste trousers and black Nike trainers.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police are looking to trace missing person Alex Houston aged 12. Alex is 5ft 6in tall and missing from the Irvine area. Alex is wearing black North Face jacket, White LaCoste trousers and black Nike trainers. Please call 101 quoting ref no 3913 19/01/24 with information."
