Shoppers are raving over a 'miraculous' skincare treatment that they swear heals dry and cracked skin in just 36 hours. Tropic Skincare's Tamanu Balm is said to work on a huge range of ailments from dry skin and scarring to taking the sting out of insect bites.
Tamanu Oil, or 'green gold', is used in the product. It's a French Polynesian ingredient that was used in the front line to soothe wounded soldiers as it is both anti-inflammatory and antibacterial. It is also said to protect skin from free radical damage, which degrades collagen and causes all sorts of unwanted side effects such as fine lines.
It also uses Cupuaçu Butter from the Amazon rainforest to keep skin hydrated and form a barrier from any potential pollutants. Blackcurrant extract is also used to soothe the skin and reduce inflammation as well as boosting the skin's elasticity.
Shoppers are claiming it's great for dry skin of a winter.
Mini Tamanu BalmOne shopper wrote: "Miraculous! I have cracked heels in the winter, I don't like wearing anything on my feet and I drink less because I hate going to the toilet so often. This has sorted it in less than 36 hours with minimal application."

A second penned: "I’ve tested this for 2 weeks so far and I would definitely recommend this. I use it only as a face balm to help with dryness during a winter pregnancy. I have oily acne-prone skin but it did not break me out.
"It is not enough by itself, it just sat on top of the skin and left it greasy however when I added a basic moisturiser on top of it, it magically caused deep hydration (much more than when I used the basic moisturiser by itself). My skin is brighter and glowier and softer."
A third added: "I purchased this product for my son especially for his extremely dry skin/eczema. So far it is okay but still early days for the results. Smell is lovely and easy to use with fingers."
It is worth noting that the product is said to have a strong smell and it comes in a green colour which some shoppers may find off putting. Green does seem to be a popular colour with 'miracle' skin balms with Balmond's Skin Salvation having a similar appearance and claims of similar results.
