Before we get into the anticipated details surrounding the new S24 handsets the launch has dropped the price of Samsung current flagship S23 models. As the S23, S23+, and S23Ultra are soon to be proceeded by the looming S24 range UK retailers have started to drop its prices.

S23 ultra shoppers at Amazon can currently find a huge £150 off, yes that is cheaper than Samsung's own site, while those that pick the standard S23 on a Sky Mobile contract will save a huge £319.

Other providers including O2 are offering a free pair of Galaxy Buds FE to shoppers (worth £99) when they buy the S23 phone, and they give shoppers £99 in cashback too.

While Samsung itself has launched the code SAVE2024 that when applied at the S23 checkout will take £150 off the price, and we could see a similar deal on the S23 Ultra in days to come so keep your eyes peeled.

What price will the Galaxy S24 range start at?

This question is bound to be at the forefront of many shoppers' minds, especially as it could be months before retailers launch any deals on the models. Taking a look back at last years Galaxy Unpacked S23 launch it could give you an idea at what you may pay for the S24.

The standard S23 model launched at £849 (and is the cheapest in the range), while the slightly bigger S23+ launched at £1,049, and the bigger S23 Ultra at £1,249. Official prices will be unveiled during the livestream but expects at Tech Radar believe the S24 Ultra could be the exact same price as the S23 Ultra.

Making it a no-brainer for new shoppers to opt for the upgraded device, although this isn't confirmed by Samsung. On their site Tech Radar said: "The latest rumours claim the entire Galaxy S24 range price will match that of the S23.

"So that means the Galaxy S24 Ultra will likely start at£1,249 for what’s expected to be a model with a base configuration of 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM. That price rises to £1,399 for a likely 512GB model with 12GB of RAM. And for a top-end 1TB Galaxy S24 Ultra with 12GB of RAM, we’d expect a price of £1,599."

Again, these are rumours circulating ahead of the global event, and yet to be confirmed or denied at the Galaxy Unpacked launch, but it may give an idea of how much to set aside.

The retailer you choose depends on exactly how long you're willing to wait to get your hands on either three S24 devices. Samsung are set to open its pre-order on its site tomorrow night (January 17) so this would be our first recommendation.

The Samsung store is likely to be the first popular choice for shoppers looking to buy the model upfront, especially as Samsung has a £50 off deal for anyone that's signed-up to watch the launch. Looking back to last year's S23 event too it won't be surprising to see other price drops launched across the event.
