Lee Ryan has been photographed arriving at Ealing Magistrates' Court today to face trial after he was arrested for an incident on a British Airways flight in July.

Lee wore a charcoal grey suit with a white shirt, which he wore open, as he was photographed arriving at the court.

He wore a pair of black shoes and a black belt and had his head down as he made his way into the court.

The singer was also pictured looking at his phone.

The 39-year-old singer was arrested at London City Airport following an incident on a flight from Glasgow.

A Met Police spokesman told Mirror in August: "At around 1640hrs on Sunday, 31 July, officers met a flight that had arrived at London City Airport from Glasgow.

"A 39-year-old man was arrested for a public order offence. He was taken into custody at an east London police station and was released under investigation the following day."

He is set to stand trial at the court after he was charged with assault by beating, behaving in threatening, abusive, insulting or disorderly manner towards a member of aircraft crew and common assault of an emergency worker.

Mr Ryan has already pleaded guilty to being drunk in an aircraft.

He previously apologised for his "inappropriate" behaviour on the flight.

He is said to have launched a foul-mouthed tirade at the cabin crew when they didn’t serve him booze.

A statement on Blue’s official Instagram page said: "A Note from Lee.

"Over the last few days, I have had a lot of time to think about my behaviour and how it affects people around me.

"As it has been well documented I have always had my struggled with alcohol and often say or do silly things as a result of that, which in turn has caused upset for myself and those around me.

"For that I want to apologise to everyone I have upset or offended."

He rose to fame as part of boy band Blue, which formed in 2000 and includes Antony Costa, Duncan James and Simon Webbe.

The group's biggest hits include All Rise, Too Close and One Love.

Lee has also appeared on a number of TV shows including Celebrity Big Brother in 2014, Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, and a brief stint in EastEnders in the same year.
