Kyle Walker's estranged wife has reportedly sought advice from Coleen Rooney amid the collapse of her marriage.
Annie Kilner, who announced her split from the Manchester City ace on Wednesday night, is thought to have one of the lawyer's involved in Coleen's successful Wagatha Christie court saga.
The mum-of-three is reportedly gearing up to divorce the footballer after two years of marriage, with a battle over his £30million fortune looming should she go ahead with proceedings.
Kyle, who captained the England team for the first time in November, is no longer living at their £2.5million Cheshire home after being given the boot by Annie.
According to The Sun, friends say Annie, 30, is privately planning to file for divorce and has turned to her fellow WAG Coleen for support amid her relationship troubles. It's claimed Annie's family are also encouraging her to make the split from sports star Kyle permanent.
Pep Guardiola went back on his word after blocking last-ditch Barcelona transferThe publication reports that Annie has had several heart-to-heart chats with Coleen, wife of ex-England striker Wayne Rooney and has also enlisted top PR agent Rachel Monk. Interestingly, Annie's estranged husband Kyle has reportedly ditched his spokeswoman and hired Miss Monk to handle the scandal.
Annie, 30, had previously decided to stand by man after Instagram influencer Lauryn Goodman, 32, gave birth to the footballer's son Kairo in April 2020. She labelled his betrayal as "obscene" but was determined to keep their family together. However, Annie reportedly reached breaking point over the festive period regarding rumours Kyle has fathered a second child with Lauryn.
Lauryn welcomed her five-month-old daughter into the world in August but has not yet publicly disclosed the identity of the father or her second child's name, other than hinting her baby's initials are K.W. Annie, who first met Kyle in their hometown of Sheffield when she was 15 and he 17, reportedly confronted Kyle on Boxing Day regarding rumours he is the father.
Taking to her Instagram Stories on Monday, Annie announced her split from Kyle as she told her followers: "I am posting this in response to growing recent media enquiries about my marriage to Kyle and in an effort to protect my family against the intensity of the media spotlight.
"Sadly, after many years of marriage and three wonderful children together; I have decided to take some time away from Kyle. I do not wish to comment on the position any further. For now, I ask that the privacy of myself and our three young children is respected during this difficult time."
Kyle, who shares sons Riaan, Roman and Reign with Annie, has reportedly moved out of the family's sprawling £2.5million property in Cheshire and has moved into a luxury apartment in Prestbury, Cheshire. He is yet to publicly comment on his estranged wife's social media statement.
