An iconic landmark in Cornwall has caused mysterious vibes after it was decorated with some rather X-rated items.
Often dubbed the county's own 'Great Wall of China', the wall running along the road between Falmouth and Truro is well known among motorists and locals for being festooned with mugs. The reason why - and indeed the person behind the stunt - has long been unknown.
But the bizarre charade took an explicit turn over the New Year, when the cups were replaced with objects not usually found in a kitchen cupboard. Drivers were stunned to notice a row of dildos sitting atop the landmark.
Motorist Mark Woolcock found himself rubbernecking as he passed the wall on his journey home from work on New Year's Eve. "After a long night shift, this cheered us up no end on the way home," he said.
The brightly-coloured sex toys were perched neatly along the wall in what appeared to be a prank. It's not clear however who was responsible for the dildos, which have since been removed as mysteriously as they were placed there.

The bizarre prank has caused quite a buzz on social media (Mark Woolcock/Cornwall Live)The wall has previously been known for its mugs, which inexplicably appear and disappear on random occasions. Several were left atop the wall as recently as December by an unknown prankster, and at its peak as many as 40 were spotted arranged along the landmark.
As of Wednesday, the wall remained empty, Cornwall Live reports. Cornwall Council was also contacted for more insight on who removed the toys.
Images of the obscene display prompted as much amusement as they did intrigue on social media. One person wrote: "err..... are they what they look like?" while another added: "Are my eyes playing tricks?".
"I thought it was a bunch of flasks," a third - perhaps more naive - person wrote, while another added: "The wheeze I wheezed when I saw this."
