The 2024 World Darts Championship has captured the nation's attention and now all focus turns to the final tomorrow night.

The competition has been notable for the rise of 16 year-old Luke Littler. Littler, from Runcorn in Cheshire, has been one of the standout stories at the Alexandra Palace this year with a sensational campaign so far.

After defeating Raymond van Barneveld, Littler dispatched Brendan Dolan in a ruthless quarter-final showdown yesterday (Monday, January 1). The young challenger has also beaten Christian Kist, Andrew Gilding, Matt Campbell en-route to the semi-finals.

Scott Williams meanwhile gave darts fans one of the greatest upsets in recent history to dump Michael van Gerwen out of the Championship which leaves Littler a less challenging path to his first ever Championship title. Van Gerwen had sailed to the final eight, and was expecting to advance with ease to the semi-final, but the Englishman capitalised on an uneven Van Gerwen performance to shock the darts world and pull off a 5-3 victory.

Littler's showing is life changing with an eye-watering amount of cash on offer if he succeeds in the tournament. The youngster has already guaranteed himself £100k but that prize pot will only increase if he keeps up his impressive form and stakes a place in the final.

Littler will face off with Rob Cross in tonight's semi-final, but with van Gerwen falling at the quarter final stage, the 16 year-old will not have to contend with one of darts' best ever players in the final. If you're wanting to witness a potentially huge night in darts history then fans can now watch the semi-finals and tomorrow evening's showpiece final on Sky Sports for a knock-down price of £15.

You can also get all eight Sky Sports channels for £18 a month on an 18 month contract. Find out more about Sky Sports contracts here.
