Forget star signs - turns out your first says a lot about you.

Our bodies sometimes give away things we don't want them to. We blush when we're embarrassed, make our voices go all-high pitch when we're lying, and play with our hair when feeling a little flirty.

For most of us, balling our hands into a fist is solely reserved for those seldom times we're full of anger and frustration. But, reports say the simple movement can provide a fascinating glimpse into our personality. It all comes down to the placement of our thumb when you clench a fist - whether they wrap inside our fingers or rest on the outside.

According to JagranJosh, 'natural leaders' let their thumb go inside the fist. People that do this are often very confident, a 'beacon of stability even when doubt lingers within' and possess 'laser-sharp' focus.

"Our intellectual prowess is undeniable, and your high IQ is evident in your sharp mind and insightful observations," the site states. Other qualities include a 'thirst for knowledge and exploration' and being a skilled listener.

The report also claims that people with an inward thumb approach challenges with calmness and wisdom. They always consider 'all sides' before making an informed decision.

However, people who let their thumb rest on the outside of their fingers reveal a whole set of traits and qualities. JagranJosh says these people are a 'master of self-expression'.

"You are not afraid to embrace your individuality. You exude an air of confidence, not arrogance, but a genuine belief in your worth," it states. "Straightforward and direct in your communication, you say what you mean and mean what you say."

Keeping the thumb outside of the fist is also linked to high self-esteem and 'radiating confidence'. When it comes to social gatherings, these people are said to have a 'vibrant energy and charisma' that always comes through. However, they also like to enjoy their own company and have their limits.
