It's the most wonderful time of the year - which means it's time to get cosy on the sofa with a mince pie and your favourite Christmas film.

Luckily, Netflix has a secret function that lets you narrow down their breadth of content available on the streaming service, so you can just see their festive offerings broken further down into genres. So whether you want some laughs with Kurt Russell in The Christmas Chronicles films, or some romance in the form of Holidate or The Holiday, then these secret Netflix codes may be for you.
The Christmas Chronicles is on Netflix (Netflix)This year, the streaming giant has revamped its main Christmas category code, which is titled A Cozy Kind of Holiday. "Tis the season for festive fun and comforting commotion. The cozy collection will spark the holiday spirit, wherever you are," the description reads.
The Christmas category is broken further down into codes, which makes it easier to find exactly the type of Christmas film you're after - whether it be comedies or feel-good films. You can find all the codes below, all you have to do is type the digits into the search bar.

When viewing Netflix in an internet browser type the following address: https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/ and then add the digits for the genre you're looking for. Netflix fans can also use these codes in the search box of their smart TVS, or enter the name of the category.
