Looking to buy Apple's newest smartwatch but not sure if it's the right device to go for? The team of consumer experts at Which? have named the Series 9 device as one of the best on the market, and Amazon's cheapest price may sway you to add it to your end-of-year list.
The Apple Watch Series 9 range is the newest set of wearable devices from the brand and includes the standard aluminium model or a trendier polished stainless steel design, similar to Samsung's rival Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. Branded as one of the go-to tech accessories for 2023 it usually costs upwards of £399 but Amazon are offering it for the lowest price since its launch.
The Prime retailer is now cheaper than Apple as it drops the Watch 9 GPS 41mm to £379, it may not seem like a huge saving but it's the lowest price since the range launched just a matter of weeks ago. Too new for a price drop Amazon didn't budge the price during last month's Black Friday sale.
And it's packed with a host of sparkling features that propels it to the top of the newest smartwatch launches, as Which? testers put it above the 2023 Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 or the Google Pixel Watch 2. Rounding up their favourite 50 items from 2023 the team ranked the Series 9 Apple Watch 9 in the top eight spot, falling below the Amazon rivalling Kobo ereader or Lenovo Idea Pad Slim 3 laptop.

As they said: "Apple says this smartwatch is its first carbon neutral product.

"All of the energy used to make it is clean, it’s made from 30% recycled materials and the same goes for the packaging...it’s encouraging to see one of the biggest companies on earth seemingly put the same care into manufacture as it does the watch itself.
"The S9 chip is lightning-fast, and puts Siri at its heart. It’s an excellent fitness companion, too, with accurate tracking so you can understand your stats and see progress."
Other highly rated tech items on its list included the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G smartphone (not surprising for us here at Mirror Tech as it's one of our go-to budget range recommendations) and the 15-inch MacBook Air 2023.
