One Brit met her partner on a Facebook group for Britain’s dullest men - but swears it’s better than Tinder.

The Dull Club’s Men on Facebook is for those who enjoy a new way to organise their sock drawer, or who take the time to properly go through the festive TV guide listing by listing. The social media group focuses on "celebrating the ordinary" but for some has become a new place to find a partner.

Danielle Goodyear, 32 from Leeds, met her boyfriend James Warbuton, 36 from Manchester, on the group. After the group randomly popped up on her Facebook, she joined it and ended up meeting James, a regular poster.

The Mail Online reported she said: "The group just randomly came up on my Facebook. I don't remember what the post was about but it was something typically dull and boring but also quite satisfying at the same time, like neatly organised sock drawers."

Danielle noticed James's regular posts and sent him a friend request. From there they got chatting and within weeks met up for their first date, in September of this year. James said: "The amount of people now that go on there and they're like, I wanna find a dull fellow, I wanna find a dull lady. We have a laugh, but it's just normal - not Love Island."

Prior to meeting her "dull" man, Danielle was on "all the dating apps you can think of" but found no success and said they were dreadful. She added: "Particularly Tinder, I've really got a genuine hatred for it, it's one thing after another and you get to the point where there's just not genuine people to date."

But the couple now have each other as "teammates", with James’ dog and Danielle's two children. They even have their own podcast called Mr and Mrs Dull. There are almost 600,000 members on the Dull Men’s Club Facebook page. Posts vary from one man boasting about his rare glass insulators, to discussions about moustaches, Christmas songs, and more.

One post read: "It's getting very exciting down here in Chichester. Our rainfall bucket is going to reach the top in under two months. Based on average it should be just over half full". Another said: "Managed to remove the old silicone seal from around my bath in one entire piece. All 254cm of it. Winning at life."
