Ange Postecoglou hailed his “goalmouth monster” Richarlison after 10-man Tottenham put more pressure on Steve Cooper.
Tottenham striker Richarlison scored his third goal in two games but Yves Bissouma’s second red card of the season means he now faces a FOUR-game ban.
Spurs forward Brennan Johnson also went off with a nasty head wound while Destiny Udogie will also serve a one game ban after collecting his fifth booking of the season. But Tottenham boss Postecoglou’s men held on for victory against Nottingham Forest who have now managed just one win in 13 games with pressure mounting on boss Cooper.
Postecoglou said: “Richarlison is a goalmouth monster. I'm really pleased with him in training and I was confident that he could go out there and do a job for us.
“Richy has been good again tonight, not an easy game we weren’t going to get a lot of space and his impact is in the box, it was a great ball and that’s what Richy is really good at. He’s in a better space physically and mentally.”

Postecoglou admitted that Bissouma’s sending off - which means a third ban of the season after two reds and already exceeding five yellows - is a blow but he denied he set out to injure Dean Yates.
Postecoglou said: “It was a desperate lunge more than anything malicious. I love the commitment they showed. We paid a price because now he misses a fair chunk of football.”
