The Wanted's late singer Tom Parker is still spoken to by his two young children every day, 18 months after he passed away after being diagnosed with stage four glioblastoma.
Tom, who was aged 33 when he died on March 30, 2022, and his widow, Kelsey, has spoken about the interactions their children still have with him each day. While attending the Action for Children's Starry Night Gala at London's Battersea Arts Centre, Kelsey told reporters: "They speak to him every day. Today my daughter said something like, 'I see a winter. Oh daddy, do you see this?'.
"She'll go on to my nan's garden, and be like 'oh dad...'. She'll start talking to him. And I'm really into it. I'll say, 'Talk to your dad'." The couple share a two-year-old daughter, Aurelia, and a son Bodhi, 20 months, and Kelsey added: "The kids know absolutely everything about what happened. They understand what a brain tumour is."
Tom Parker and his wife Kelsey pictured in 2016 (PA)When asked about how Christmas is shaping up for Kelsey and her children, she replied: "We used to always go to my mum's, but I don't want to always do the same as what we did because it's not the same now. So this year my family are coming to me instead. Tom loved Christmas so much."
Kelsey continued: "We'd both go shopping and decorate the tree together and he'd go extreme because he was so into this time of year. And it's kind of made me not like Christmas, even though I'm a very positive person."

Kelsey encourages her children to speak to their dad (being_kelsey/Instagram)Speaking on Loose Women in September, Kelsey spoke about Tom's presence in their lives, telling the panel: "He's so present in our house there's still all the pictures from our wedding, Tom's everywhere in our house. But for them, it's constant like this morning I did a little video of [her daughter] and she said, 'Can you text that to daddy?' We're always talking about daddy and I said, 'Mummy can't do that. He's watching you, he can see you singing and dancing, but I can't actually send that video to daddy'."
Kelsey has found love again with Sean Boggans, who she was introduced to at a wedding in Rhodes in September 2022. The pair went their separate ways before recently reuniting after meeting at another mutual friend's wedding.
The mum-of-two admitted the new relationship has been "hard" as she said: "That’s not plain sailing, either, because it's really hard. We’re trying a new relationship and I am grieving someone and it's really, really hard for both of us, but you know what I'm really, really happy and I deserve a little bit of happiness."
