Ozzy Osbourne has revealed plans to completely quit performing live if he ends up permanently stuck in a wheelchair amid his ongoing health issues.

“I’m not going to get up there and do a half-hearted Ozzy looking for sympathy,” The 74-year-old told .“What’s the f***ing point in that? I’m not going up there in a f***ing wheelchair.”

He went on to say he believes he only has a decade left to live. “At best, I’ve got 10 years left and when you’re older, time picks up speed,” he continued.

Ozzy revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis publicly three years ago but he has been battling the disease since 2003. He has undergone numerous gruelling back surgeries recently which have left him needing to use a wheelchair.

Last year he underwent ‘life-altering’ surgery to realign a series of pins in his neck and back that he had inserted after a quad-biking accident 20 years ago.

The rock legend has recently been forced to pull out of numerous live performances. In July he announced he had been forced to cancel performing the heavy metal Power Trip music festival in California, which he was scheduled to headline in October in what would have been his first live gig in five years.

“Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-a**ed,” Ozzy wrote in a heartfelt post on X.

His last full performance was in 2018 and the singer has only made two on-stage appearances since, each lasting only one or two songs.

Earlier this year the singer announced he would be officially retiring from touring in a touching statement, which opened with “This is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to share with my loyal fans.”

“Never would have I imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,” he wrote in the heartbreaking post before explaining he would be cancelling his upcoming tour which was set to start in May.

He concluded the statement by thanking his friends and family, as well as his fans “for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all…”
