If you fancy something a little closer to home, then Parkdean Resorts has a whole host of Black Friday deals. The holiday firm has thousands of short breaks available for bargain rates, running from today to December 4. It has locations across the UK in the likes of Cornwall, Devon and the Isle of Wight, so there are plenty of places to explore.

Jet2 is currently flogging package breaks with a £60 discount as part of its Black Friday offering. For a couple looking to get away in the next couple of months, that represents a potentially sizeable discount.

Right now Jet2 is offering £120 off a seven night break to the Mirachoro Praia Da Rocha in the Algarve, Portugal, with the available apartment sleeping two. The £390 price tag covers both people and return flights from London Stansted, leaving on December 4. The £60-a-person discount means the sale price is 23% less than the typical cost of the stay this time of the year.
