Strictly Come Dancing pro Luba Mushtuk has been flooded with support after sharing some news.
Dancer Luba celebrated a very special milestone as she became a British Citizen after living in the UK for several years. The Russian native took to Instagram on Tuesday to share the exciting update with her 110k followers, just one week after turning 34.
Standing in front of a Union Jack flag and holding her certificate of citizenship at Camden Town Hall, Luba smiled for the camera in honour of the big event. In another snap in the carousel, the choreographer is posing on the grand staircase of the Grade II listed building in a black turtle neck dress and matching knee high boots.
"She is a British Citizen," Luba captioned the uplifting post, which has since been inundated with kind messages from the Strictly star's celebrity friends and adoring fans.
"And the most beautiful dancer, congratulations," Hannah Waddingham wrote, echoing the sweet words of another who said, "Britain has just got that lil bit more wonderful!"
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourStrictly: It Takes Two host Fleur East also sent her well wishes, commenting, "Whoo! Congrats!" Her enthusiasm was shared by former Strictly star Zara McDermott, who posted a series of heart emojis, and ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly, who said, "Delighted to have you!"
Head Strictly judge Shirley Ballas also joined in on the celebrations, writing, "Huge congratulations" before punctuating her note with a heart. Luba also received warm messages from her fellow proffessional dancers, including Gorka Marquez, who posted three applause emojis beneath the update to symbolise his support.
The exciting announcement comes after Luba and her Strictly partner, Adam Thomas, became the sixth couple to booted off the BBC reality series. The talented pair was eliminated in the Dance Off against Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington, after failing to wow the judges with their Rumba to the Emmerdale star's wedding song, Dancing On My Own by Calum Scott. Luba gushed about her experience mentoring Adam after the axing, taking to Instagram to sing the praises of the 35-year-old despite the disappointing result.
"So many ups and downs we had each day and we got through it together," she captioned the emotional post. "I'm so proud of us and so proud of you and the progress that you’ve made @adamthomas21 as a dancer ,contender and your personal growth. Thank you for the most magical time I have ever had on the show and for being the best partner in crime I could ask for."
Luba, who first joined the Strictly Come Dancing pro dancing troupe in 2016, went on to express her gratitude to Adam's wife, Caroline Daly, and their two young children, Teddy, 9, and five-year-old Elsie.
"Biggest thank you is for making me part of your beautiful family that I fell in love with … as that’s the best part of it all … and …huge thanks to this amazing woman @carolinethomas23, who has been there for both of us each step of the way … Literally you are the best !!!" she wrote. "And of course Teddy and Elsie who I just love to bits and I’m coming soon for homework and school run."
