Paul Burrell has claimed Prince Harry will likely turn down an invite to his father King Charles' coronation, after his bombshell memoir Spare.

The former royal butler claimed Harry would be "a hypocrite" to attend the congregation, suggesting he had been "trying to dismantle the monarchy" with his recent interviews and claims.

Speaking on Lorraine on Friday, Paul addressed Harry's latest claims about his relationship with brother Prince William, this week claiming William attacked him.

Harry also suggested in a TV interview that William "wanted him to hit him back" as the "red mist" descended over him, while his book suggested William was jealous of him.

Now, Paul has stated that their mother Princess Diana would be unhappy with their fallout, and wouldn't have liked Harry "pulling the rug from under William's feet" with his recent bombshells.

He said that King Charles will invite Harry to his coronation, but that Harry and Meghan will not attend as it would be "difficult" for them to after their recent claims against the Royal Family.

Paul said of Diana: "She wouldn't agree with Harry pulling the rug from under his brother's feet as he waits to be King.

"[She'd say] 'Harry, what are you doing... what does it all serve, what is the end project of this?' It's just a lot of hurt people and it has to stop.

"If it keeps escalating like this there will never be a reconciliation because why would William or the King trust a boy who has come into their world, left that world and is then telling stories about that world."

On the coronation, Paul added: "Yes he will be invited to the coronation but I don't think he will go. How could he possibly be sat in a house of God, Westminster Abbey where his mother's funeral was, to watch his father be crowned King?

"It seems a little hypocritical to me with what he's been doing recently trying to dismantle the monarchy, not build it. I think it would be difficult for Harry and Meghan to be part of that congregation."

Meanwhile, on Friday Chief Royal Correspondent for Newsweek Jack Royston told GMB hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway that it will likely be up to King Charles, and possibly Camilla, Queen Consort, as to whether Harry and wife Meghan will be invited - amid their estrangement from the Royal Family.

While it could ultimately be up to the Duke of Sussex if he attends or not, the Royal correspondent added that Prince William may have a say in if he is invited to the event.

The Prince of Wales' wife Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, could also have a say he suggested - as Harry confessed he wasn't sure if he would be going,

He said that William "will be furious" with his brother for what is revealed in the book and on TV, and addressed whether there was a way back for Harry and wife Meghan.

In the past few days, extracts from the book have been leaked - while clips have been released from both his interview with Tom, and his US interview on GMA with host Michael Strahan.

The latest clips from his chat with ITV presenter Tom have seen Harry discuss past drug use, him seeing a "red mist" in brother William and his hopes to have his father and brother back in his life.

He also said "staying silent won't help" after hitting back at his family for "briefing stories to the press", and he denied "invading their privacy" with his tell-all book.

Meanwhile, an extract from the book leaked ahead of its release saw Harry claim he was attacked by William during a row in 2019.

The book also touches on his reaction to his father King Charles not allowing wife Meghan to be at Balmoral when the Queen died, saying it was "disrespectful" and his reasons for it didn't make sense.

Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV1 and ITV Hub.
