It never rains but it pours for WAG Rebekah Vardy in her falling-out with former pal Coleen Rooney.

The 41-year-old’s media company has now plunged deeper into the red – just as High Court rival Coleen’s media firm is showing itself to be firmly in the black. And it comes as Rebekah, married to Leicester City footie ace Jamie, is expected to fork out £1.5million towards Coleen’s legal bill after losing their bitter “Wagatha Christie” libel fight.

A source said: “Rebekah has been through such a lot since last year – and yet even now, Coleen is still coming up roses.” A financial statement for Rebekah’s BKYV Media last year shows it owes creditors £74,855 – up from a £56,607 debt the previous year. Meanwhile, Coleen’s company, CWR 2021, shows net assets at £117,790.

Last year, a High Court judge ruled 37-year-old Coleen’s accusations that Rebekah had leaked stories about her were substantially true. Coleen, married to ex-England and Manchester United striker Wayne, sparked the battle three years earlier by naming and shaming Rebekah as the source of leaks after her own sleuthing.

Earlier this year, Coleen opened up about the courtroom saga in a documentary called The Real Wagatha Story after signing a lucrative deal with Disney+. In it, she points out that everyone but her had spoken publicly about the court case.

She has also released a book titled My Account, which could earn her massive royalties. Our source said: “It’s no surprise Coleen’s firm is doing well, as everyone is keen to hear what she has to say. But it will add insult to injury for Rebekah.”
