Ozzy Osbourne was photographed being pushed along in a wheelchair in Santa Monica, Los Angeles, on Tuesday afternoon.

The 74-year-old star, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2003, looked frail as he was pushed along by two companions, with his knees covered by a blanket to keep warm.

Despite wearing a face mask and a simple black T-shirt and a pair of tracksuit bottoms, Ozzy was clearly recognisable by his tattooed arms, decorated with gold jewellery, and signature long black hair.

The appearance comes after his son Jack Osbourne admitted his 15-month-old daughter is “scared” of her Black Sabbath rocker granddad.

During a recording of The Osbourne's Podcast, Ozzy told his son, “Bring the grandkids to come and see me!”

To which Jack laughed and replied, “I f***ing will... she's scared of you IRL (in real life),” before adding his daughter, Maple, is a huge fan of watching her grandfather perform on TV.

“But in real life when she sees him and she's like, ‘Oh f***, there he is. Ahh!'” he continued.

Ozzy revealed his Parkinson’s diagnosis publically three years ago but has secretly been battling the disease since 2003. Last year he underwent ‘life-altering’ surgery to realign a series of pins in his neck and back that he had inserted after a quad biking accident 20 years ago.

The rockstar has another operation on his back in the pipeline, the fourth he has had to have since his 2019 fall which injured the vertebrae in his neck and left him needing major surgery.

“All I know is right now, I'm in a lot of pain, I'm in a lot of discomfort,” he said on his family’s podcast in September.

The rock legend, and husband of Sharon Osbourne, has been riddled with health issues recently, also having a filter removed from his artery earlier this year. He has since said he is “battling through” on a recent episode of Ozzy Speaks.

“I feel like a one-legged man in a butt-kicking contest. The only thing I've got that keeps me going is making records. But I can't do that forever,” he added.

The episode was his first public health update since he cancelled his performance at the Power Trip Festival in California in October, which would have been his first gig in five years.

He announced the “painful” decision in a heartfelt post on Instagram, saying, “As painful as this is, I've had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October.

“Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I'm just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-a****,” he continued.

He thanked his fans before signing off, “I love you all and I will see you soon. God Bless, Ozzy.”

Earlier this year the singer announced he would be officially retiring from touring in a touching statement, which opened with “This is probably one of the hardest things I've ever had to share with my loyal fans.”

“Never would have I imagined that my touring days would have ended this way,” he wrote in the heartbreaking post before explaining he would be cancelling his upcoming tour which was set to start in May.

He concluded the statement by thanking his friends and family, as well as his fans “for their endless dedication, loyalty, and support, and for giving me the life that I never ever dreamed I would have. I love you all…”
