If you're getting ready to celebrate Diwali this weekend Virgin Media has launched a handful of popular TV for free, so Kaun Banega Crorepati, Gaslight, and Indian Idol fans can tune in with family without paying a penny.
The freebie deal includes 15 channels from its Asian Mela bundle, an entertainment plan which usually sets streamers back £12 a month and it's now up for grabs for free, a deal which rivals Sky customer's free access to the likes of Utsav Plus, Zee TV, and Sony Entertainment. Fans of the channel will be well-accustomed to its drama-filled sets as it hosts the likes of Idol and action-thriller Pathaan.
Streamers who fancy tuning in for free can stream without paying a penny from now up until November 20, fourteen days of uninterrupted viewing by adding the freebie to an existing TV package. Don't have Virgin Media TV?
While the free channels are available to add onto an existing package those that don't have Virgin Media may want to take a look at the provider's current Black Friday deals, to lock in a much cheaper streaming deal. Its Big Bundle, packed with more than 110 channels and Superfast broadband has now dropped to £31.50 a month, while there's an even bigger saving on its Bigger Combo Bundle.
With more than 90 channels, including the likes of Sky and BT sports, Ultrafast broadband and weekend calls the Bigger Combo package is now free for the first free months, before users pay £39.50 for the remaining part of the contract, a saving £118.50. Not to mention the additional £12 saving for those wanting to stream on Utsav Gold HD, SONY MAX HD, and Colors Gujarati too.

David Bouchier, Chief TV & Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “Diwali is such a special time of year for so many families to come together and celebrate, so to add to the celebrations, we are making 15 premium Asian TV channels available at no extra cost for our customers. This includes all the best programming and movies from India in HD as standard, with some shows completely exclusive to Virgin Media”.
