It's November 1 which means sale season is officially here, something a host of tech retailers have proved by dropping some bargains on the iPhone 14, showing that there's no need for Apple shoppers to wait until Black Friday. And Currys, usually a first-choice retailer for those on the hunt for a new phone, may have just been booted off the top spot thanks to a mighty £200 deal offered by rival, Very.

The 128GB iPhone 14 is currently £65 off at Currys as the price drops from £764 to £699 and while its pre-sale price would be one to marvel at, it's not the cheapest place to pick up Apple's shiny 2022 handset. Despite being one of the first retailers to officially open its Black Friday prices, Currys handset price is not the cheapest around as Very and Amazon both verify.

The exact same 128GB iPhone 14 model is now £649 at Very, £50 better than Currys, as the model is cut from an £849 price tag, the same price Apple's own store currently sells it for. Before today Currys early Black Friday rate would have superseded both Apple and Very by offering £85 less than usual but the move into November proves just how competitive the tech sales will play out to be.

And if Amazon's fellow £649 iPhone 14 price is anything to show, shoppers should click through a few tabs before going ahead with the first deal they see, especially when it means dropping hundreds on a new tech gadget. It may have been overtaken by Apple's 2023 iPhone 15 but retailer's price drops shouldn't be the only factor to influence you in getting your hands on this device.

Just over a year old the iPhone 14 model is a top Apple contender, the main reason being its hidden software is up to par with the latest speedy upgrades, so despite a few physical differences the phone will perform just as well. The only thing standard iPhone 14 shoppers will miss out on is the dynamic island, the interactive notch at the top of the screen, which has since been rolled out on all iPhone 15 sets, a design previously only on the iPhone 14 Pro.

There's still more than three weeks to go until the official Novemeber 24 black Friday date hits so the fight to offer the best price is well and truly underway. If you're planning on going all out on tech, whether it's for a Christmas present or to treat yourself on November pay day there's a lot of offer dropping as we speak.

Sky has confirmed its Black Friday deals will drop this Friday, nope not the 24th but this Friday November 3, with a bundle of deals for TV, mobile and data shoppers all expected. While John Lewis is in the game with hundreds off, as we speak, Samsung, Apple, and Sony devices.
