Francis Ngannou leaves Tyson Fury speechless with witty "fat" jibe

Francis Ngannou left Tyson Fury stumped with a response to his regularly goad about being "fat" as he managed to take a verbal victory at their final press conference.

The world heavyweight boxing champion is heavily favoured to beat Ngannou on Saturday night when the pair meet in the ring on Saturday in Saudi Arabia, and is believed to be the better talker of the two as well. But the former UFC champion held his own on the microphone, and managed to leave his rival speechless in the process.

Both men were asked for closing remarks after a press conference completely overtaken by Fury's father, who used the stage as an opportunity to play out his fantasy of calling out Mike Tyson for an exhibition bout. But Ngannou ended up leaving with his first victory of the week as he left his usually mouthy rival without words in their final verbal exchange.

"I know you can't punch," Fury goaded Ngannou with, to which the Cameroonian replied "Okay, then lift your chin on the way and you can find out if I can punch." The Brit continued his standard shtick including branding Ngannou a "big ugly dosser" and telling him to hit his chin.

But comedy ensued when Fury mocked Ngannou's physique; inkeeping with a running joke throughout fight week in which he notes how much more comfortable shirtless he is than his rival despite the MMA star looking considerably better aesthetically. "Look at him, he's a big fat sausage," the boxer goaded.

"Look how fat he is, he's not even in shape," he added, before turning to Mike Tyson and reminding him "He's a fat sausage, look how fat he is." Ngannou, whose first language is not English responded by saying "Yes, I'm fat but I can still knock people out," before adding the killer line "But you used to knock people out when you were fat, it's okay".

Even Fury, a famous wordsmith, couldn't quite come up with a witty enough response, with his namesake 'Iron Mike' telling him "He got you with that one." Fury admitted defeat, jokingly replying "that's true, I'll give him that, it is true."
