A 17-year-old girl who went missing in Turkey has been found, a family member has told The Mirror.
Teenager Skyler Watkins vanished in the municipality of Fethiye, a port city in Mugla Province, on Turkey's south-western coast, according to local media. Her worried mum Gemma Thorpe reportedly appealed to the local authorities for help in finding her daughter.
The police and the gendarmerie confirmed to local media that they were looking for Skyler and started searches in the area where she disappeared. The girl vanished in Oludeniz, in Hisarönü, a tourist resort in Fethiye, over a week ago, according to local reports - but today, a family member confirmed that she has been found, adding: "It was a misunderstanding."
Fethiye is known for its natural harbour and its clear blue waters. It is popular with tourists and is a key area of the Turkish Riviera.
