Jean-Claude Van Damme discussed Tyson Fury's upcoming fight

It's the fight that has got everyone talking as the latest crossover bout sees boxing sensation Tyson Fury take on UFC powerhouse Francis Ngannou.

The heavyweight boxing champion feels it will be an easy night's work on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, labelling himself a "genius". And now Hollywood icon Jean-Claude Van Damme has weighed in on the discussion, sharing his thoughts on how he sees the fight going - and how he'd like it to go down too.

Speaking to the Mirror, the Bloodsport star, 63, said: "Tyson is unbeatable. He's such a boxer. He's one of the best boxers in my life."

Opening up on his admiration for the Gypsy King, Van Damme continued: "He's heavy, he's six foot six and 340 (pounds). My God and the way he dances like a middle! All I want, I don't want him to lose. Imagine an unlucky punch. It can happen at that weight. And then all the world of boxing will be disappointed."

But it's something he's not keen to contemplate. "Let's hope he will not lose. I will be so disappointed," he concluded.

Fury is currently huge favourite to beat the Cameroonian-French professional mixed martial artist and insists he will knock out his opponent inside six rounds. However, Ngannou has berated Fury and told him he doesn't believe a word that comes out of his mouth. While Fury's WBC title won't be on the line this Saturday, his lineal crown will be if Ngannou can become the first man to hand him a loss in the professional ring.

Van Damme's comments came as the Muscles from Brussels launched his new Irish whiskey called Old Oak. Speaking to us from a Belfast bar, the actor explained how the venture took him back to the good old days sitting on his grandad's lap at his farm.

Reminiscing, he said: "You know, secondhand smoking is dangerous for you, I understand. But at that time, two generations ago, I was sitting on his legs and grandpa was moving his legs like I was on a little rollercoaster, [while having] this cigar. It didn't blow in my face but he was dipping his cigar in that gold-ish brownish colour; whiskey of course. And I was attracted by this smell. So when he talked to me I smelled that whiskey and that cigar together. It was like wow."

Now, he has joined up with an Irish-based company to release the product, which is currently available as a three-year and five-year whiskey.
