Police say missing 10-year-old schoolgirl has been found safe and well

Police who launched an urgent search for a missing ten-year-old schoolgirl have confirmed she has been found.

Humberside Police had previously issued an urgent alert to the public to help find the girl, named Marissa, who had last been seen yesterday at 3.20pm, in Hessle near Hull, East Yorkshire.

Thankfully, after "extensive lines of enquiry" the youngster was found safe and well" today.

In an update this morning, Humberside Police said: "Following extensive lines of enquiry we can confirm that Marissa, aged 10 has now been located safe and well. Thank you to everybody who shared our appeal to help locate her."
