A former Strictly Come Dancing favourite has admitted it is "easy to fall" for a dance partner in the wake of Bobby Brazier's recent confession that he's "falling in love" with Dianne Buswell.
Brendan Cole, who played a huge part in the BBC show's success from its 2004 launch until his departure in 2018, knows a thing or two about handling the pressures of the competition. The 47-year old lifted the Glitterball Trophy in its inaugural series alongside his newsreader partner, Natasha Kaplinsky and split from fellow Strictly pro Camilla Dallerup shortly afterwards.
Last week, 20-year old soap star Bobby sent the rumour mill into overdrive after he declared to the Mirror at the Pride of Britain Awards: "I could speak about Dianne all day. She's just a diamond – you know what, I'm falling in love with her. She's just great. I feel very lucky."

Strictly's Bobby Brazier confessed to 'falling in love' with Dianne (PA)Now, former Strictly pro Brendan has opened up on the show's romances, explaining the intimacy between partners always has the potential to be a catalyst for things to become more serious. "The beautiful and wonderful thing about Strictly is if you get on well [with your partner], it's an amazing experience because you are going through the experience with somebody else and it feels like you're the only person in the world doing this crazy little thing that everybody's talking about, and it's an amazing thing to be a part of," he explained.
He added that if two people "enjoy each other's company" and have "respect" for each other, then there's always a "chance of falling in love". He continued: "I'm not necessarily talking about 'I want to spend the rest of my life with you', but actually just that mutual respect, where you just love what they're giving you."

Brendan added to The Sun: "As the pros on the show, you give your partner everything, you give your entire self sometimes. You are their [celebs] emotional support, you are their physical support, you are giving them every tool you've got to be able to get through each week and you're giving them the strength." Brendan also revealed that the "intense" nature of Strictly also plays a part in relationships developing. He went on to admit that those relationships form "very easily" – something that had happened to him a "few" times.
Earlier this week, meanwhile, 34-year old Dianne appeared to defiantly brush off any rumours of trouble with her boyfriend Joe Sugg, as she shared a sweet Instagram Story with her beau of five years. The redhead showed her Instagram fans that the pair are firmly still together and loving life in their home. Dianne treated fans to a shot of some delicious looking roasties from their Sunday dinner together, as she re-shared a post from Joe, telling him she "loves him more than she did before".
