Marks and Spencer has made it easy to look expensive without splashing out by offering the perfect dupe of Gucci's £715 slingback heels. The popular retailer's designer-looking shoes are priced at only £49.50, which is over £665 less than Gucci's pair, and they come in two colours.

Loved for its high quality and affordable prices, M&S usually stocks items that look almost identical to high-end pieces, including footwear. The posh supermarket's Wide Fit Leather Block Heel Court Shoes, available here, are extremely similar to Gucci's mid-heel slingbacks - but cost hundreds less.

Both footwear styles feature a wide block heel, a rounded square toe and gold hardware on the front. One noticeable difference is that the high-street version is closed at the back instead of having a slingback design.

Marks and Spencer's £49.50 shoes come in regular and half sizes from three to eight, however, they appear to be getting snapped up a lot on the brand's website.

They have a comfortable wide fit, making them ideal for broad feet, and are also designed with technology which improves ankle stability. Some sizes are currently out of stock, so it's a good idea to shop soon if you don't want to miss out.

We also spotted a dupe of Gucci's slingbacks from Dune, £90, which is available at John Lewis. While River Island has a similar version that costs even less than the Marks and Spencer offering at just £35.

One shopper seemed to be over the moon with the M&S footwear. Giving it five stars, the reviewer said: "Lovely shoes. Great colour to match my Metallica bronze dress for Christmas. I have a problematic foot hence the need for a wide fitting but consequently, the half size down from my usual fits well. Feel a bit special and will look fab with trousers too."

You can still purchase the Wide Fit Leather Block Heel Court Shoes for £49.50, here. They're available in black and antique-gold, both in stores and online.
