Lucy Pargeter is best known for her portrayal of Chas Dingle on ITV soap Emmerdale, who has been caught up in a tense storyline lately.
The actress, who has been part of the Emmerdale cast since 2002, currently has Emmerdale viewers in suspense as she teased that it could be the end for her character this week.
The character was feared dead by viewers on Wednesday night, after she was abducted by a criminal who are targeting Caleb Milligan and have gone after his sister as revenge. Yet outside the soap, she's been vocal about her character's actions as she revealed she "can’t justify her actions at all."
Lucy Pargeter as Chas Dingle is facing a tense storyline in EmmerdalePargeter has also previously been outspoken about her dislike of her on-screen character Chas and revealed that she doesn't always agree with what the storylines of the ITV soap are, and what they mean for her character.
Speaking to Good Morning Britain's Richard Arnold this week as he visited the Emmerdale set, she explained she doesn't know what to make of her character's current jeopard situation: "She’s not had an easy time in the last few years but that doesn’t excuse her behaviour. I can’t justify her actions at all." She added: "Sometimes we don’t agree with them (Emmerdale’s bosses and writers). We are led by the gods upstairs."

Outside of her soap career, Pargeter is focused on family life with her three daughters. Last year it was revealed that Pargeter had split from her previous long term partner and football coach Rudi Coleano, who she had been in a relationship with for 12 years. The couple share three children together, daughter Lola and twins Missy and Betsy.
Lucy revealed that she doesn't always agree with the storylines written by Emmerdale writers and show bossesAt the time of their split, they issued a statement confirming they were no longer together. The statement read: "Lucy Pargeter has confirmed she has separated from her long-term partner, Rudi Coleano, and, while no longer together, their main priority is raising their three daughters."
However she has since moved on and in November last year it was confirmed she was dating again. While speaking to the hosts of The Heal Is Real podcast, the actress said: "I’m in a new relationship now. Exclusive. Don’t say anything. Massive fear for me being a single mother of three, possibly finding someone else to spend the rest of my life with and thinking, ‘oh my god, the first thing I’m going to have to say is I’ve got no t*ts. I used to have tits, so imagine me with t*ts, but now I’ve got no t*ts’."
Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
