Let's be honest, who doesn't love tucking into a delicious meal? No matter what your favourite food is, it always tastes better when it's home-cooked, but this can sometimes be too much of a faff with dozens of complicated steps in the recipe and too many ingredients to shop for that you'll use once before you end up throwing the rest away.

But if you want to make mouthwatering crispy chicken in minutes, look no further. Celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has shared his simple recipe for BBQ chicken thighs that take almost no time at all to cook if you chuck the meat in your air fryer. The best part? All you need to make the deliciously crispy coating for the chicken is three ingredients and your hands.

Jamie shared the recipe on his TikTok account @jamieoliver, where he dubbed it the "most delicious air fryer chicken". He also posted the full recipe on his website, where he listed the difficulty as "super easy" and said it takes just 40 minutes to make from start to finish. The recipe serves two and comes out at 364 calories per serving.

So, what do you need to make the recipe? You'll need to start with four medium chicken thighs that have already had their bones taken out and the skin removed. All you need to add to the chicken are three very simple ingredients - some olive oil, BBQ seasoning, and breadcrumbs. Jamie serves his dish with corn on the cob, but you could plate up your chicken with whatever veggies you fancy, or even some chips if you're feeling extra naughty.

To actually make the recipe, you first need to arrange the chicken on a board or tray in a single layer, before "dusting all over" with the BBQ seasoning. Then, you need to "sprinkle over the breadcrumbs", and Jamie states: "Push the crumbs onto the chicken thighs so they stick."

Once the chicken is coated, you simply need to place the thighs into your air fryer in a single layer and drizzle them with a little olive oil, or use an oil spray if you have one. Now, it's time to cook the chicken. Jamie recommends cooking the meat for 20 minutes at 180 degrees Celcius and says to turn the thighs over halfway through.

After 20 minutes, Jamie then adds his corn on the cob to the air fryer and cooks for another 10 minutes. He says: "Once the time's up on the chicken, place the corn on top and cook at 180°C for 10 minutes, or until beautifully golden and cooked through, bringing the chicken to the top halfway through."

The recipe on Jamie's website states that it was tested in a 4.2-litre air fryer and says that as all air fryers are different, your "results may vary" depending on the size of your own appliance.
