Ted Kravitz thinks Lance Stroll's trainer is plotting 'revenge' after shove

Sky Sports reporter Ted Kravitz thinks Lance Stroll's trainer is set to get revenge against the Aston Martin star in their gym sessions after the Qatar Grand Prix.

Stroll shoved Henry Howe after crashing out in the first qualifying session on Friday, with the Canadian set to line up 17th on the grid in Sunday evening's race. It has been a miserable season for the Aston star, who has failed to finish in the top 10 in his last three races.

That streak looks set to continue in Qatar and the 24-year-old was unable to hide his frustrations afterwards. He was filmed shoving Howe behind the screens at the back of the Aston garage after his trainer had tried to direct him back to the weighing room.

While Stroll and paddock sources have insisted that apologies have been made and both parties want to move on, Sky Sports reporter Kravitz has claimed that Howe might be plotting some form of revenge against the driver.

"He has apologised. Obviously it wasn't a cool thing to do. Lance has acknowledged that. Henry was trying to get him to go out the front of the garage to do the walk of shame down to the FIA weighbridge," Kravitz said on his live Ted's Notebook.

"That's why Lance, all full of emotion and adrenaline, disappointed in himself, was really annoyed that he hadn't performed himself and in a moment pushed away his trainer, Henry.

Ted Kravitz thinks Lance Stroll's trainer is plotting 'revenge' after shoveLance Stroll's trainer is said to be 'plotting his revenge' after being pushed by the driver

"He says he's apologised to Henry, but he says they're like brothers and Henry is going to get his own back on Lance when he next puts him through one of his training sessions. And that Lance is absolutely sure that Henry will have his revenge on the push.

"So he said that they've all moved on and you can understand that even though it wasn't a cool look, that when they're as close as they are, as a driver always is to his trainer, that these things can happen in the heat of the moment."

Stroll has also confirmed that he has now apologised to Howe, though insisted he has not been looking at the online reaction to the incident. He did admit, though, that he is growing frustrated with his struggles.

"We're good. He's a bro. We go through the frustrations together and we ride together, so we're cool. I'm not looking at social media. I'm in the car driving this weekend," the Canadian said.

"We're in a rut and it's not getting. Frustration is just, I think, in the whole group right now. I mean, we want to do better, we want to get better, but it's just a struggle right now. I'm just struggling with the car and just getting to grips with the balance.

"I'm just not able to extract performance from it right now, which is just difficult and frustrating. I feel like I can't really lean on the car and drive it with confidence without dealing with snaps and understeer. I f***ing hate having a bad day. It's not going to change."
