He's one of the nation's favourite designers after he rose to fame on Channel 4's Grand Designs, but fans will know very little about Kevin McCloud's life off-screen, as the TV presenter keeps much of it under wraps. The 64-year-old design guru is a father-of-four and has reportedly tied the knot twice, though his second marriage is thought to be a secret.
It's believed Kevin quietly married his partner, businesswoman, Jenny Jones, and jetted off on a honeymoon last November - five years after he split from his wife of 23 years. The star split from his interior designer ex-wife, Suzanna McCloud, known as Zani, in December 2019 and they share a son and daughter, Milo and Elsie, together.
Kevin has kept his love life under wraps but it's reported he married again last year (Channel 4)It rocked the showbiz world when the presenter walked out on his wife, reportedly having taken his things from their farmhouse in Somerset without telling her their marriage was over. News of their break-up hit headlines in 2019, but it came to light the couple had been separated two years prior to that.
Suzanna was said by friends to be 'devastated' by the brutal dumping. In 2019, a pal of Suzanna told the Daily Mail of the previous split: "Zani is absolutely devastated. She came home one day to find that Kevin had taken his things and left." A spokesperson for Kevin said: "I can confirm that, sadly, Kevin and Suzanna separated. We won't be making any further comment."
Kevin also has two other children, Hugo and Grace, from previous relationships. In all his time in the spotlight, viewers have never seen inside Kevin's own home, but it seems that won't be happening any time soon. Kevin appears to live in Frome in Somerset, but spent his childhood in a village in Bedfordshire, just north of London. The little town had a range of architecture that inspired him to pursue the career he is now famed for.

In a 2010 interview with the Daily Mail, Kevin said: "I don't think I'm a celebrity. If I welcomed people into my lovely home every week in the pages of a magazine, they'd soon see how incredibly dull it is. It's important to maintain a bit of mystique." He added: "The more of your private life you put into the public domain, the smaller your private life becomes."
Grand Designs airs tonight on Channel 4 at 9pm. Grand Designs Live runs from October 4 to 8 at the Birmingham NEC.
