TV property expert Sarah Beeny has been praised for highlighting the realities of living with cancer as she drew on her eyebrows with a biro.

The 51 year old, who recently returned to hospital to get further treatment for her breast cancer, took to Instagram to show off her 'brow goals'.

Looking into a mirror, Sarah was photographed with a pen above her eye as she smiled. Sharing the photo on Instagram, she wrote: "When you forget to draw your eyebrows on and only have a biro to hand!! It sort of worked… #brow #browgoals."

Fans and friends flocked to comment, branding her an "inspiration" and wishing her well.

One commented: "Hope you are recovering post chemo and wishing you well for the next steps in your treatment. I'm 6 years post chemo, lumpectomy and radiotherapy. Radio was much easier to cope with than chemo. Your hair will start growing back soon, I loved my chemo curls!"

Sarah revealed her cancer diagnosis in August, explaining that she almost expected to develop the disease after losing her mum to cancer.

She was just 10 years old when she lost her mum, who was 39 at the time.

On Thursday, the 51-year-old star was given treatment at both the Royal Marsden and Yeovil hospitals - and posed for the camera as she showed off her 'tattoos' before receiving her latest procedure – which were markings for the surgery.

Revealing that she was back in hospital, Sarah's sons proudly posted a picture of their brave mum on their Instagram as they quipped that she had received some new tattoos.

Posting on their page for their indie band The Entitled Sons, they wrote: "Mum finally got some tattoos!

"Thank you so much to @rovalmarsdennhs and @yeovil_hospital_nhs for taking such amazingly brilliant care of her. #tatoo #mum."

Last month, Sarah revealed that she would undergo radiation and a mastectomy this year.

Deciding to take matters into her own hands, Sarah decided to shave her own head using her dog's clippers shortly after her diagnosis.

At the time of her diagnosis, Sarah shared a photo of herself holding onto a clump of hair that had fallen from her head, adding the caption: "Sort of much harder than I expected it to be when it happened - in 24 hrs most hair fell out and I’ve shaved the rest off - onward and upward."
